Carlos has experience in civil, commercial and insurance law, both in contractual and civil liability matters. Previously, he worked as an associate at the law firm Salazar Pardo y Jaramillo. He has also had experience in national and international arbitration.

He has been a professor of Roman Law II , Contracts I , and Contracts II (joint chairs) at the Pontifical Javeriana University of Bogotá. He has been an author and guest speaker of publications and presentations, both nationally and internationally, and has served as a peer evaluator for the Vniversitas magazine of the Faculty of Law of the Javeriana University. He is a founding member of the board of directors of the Colombian Institute of Consumer Law.
