Profile
Amalia Escobar Restrepo is Of Counsel to the firm, where she supports the corporate and tax practice. Her work centres on international taxation and on the legal and tax structuring of mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, and domestic and cross-border investments.
With more than ten years advising domestic and international companies, investment funds, family offices and entrepreneurs, she has designed and implemented corporate and investment structures and has acted in due diligence processes, acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures and wealth planning. In negotiating transactions she integrates corporate, tax and regulatory considerations with a business-oriented approach and efficient risk management.
She has advised on the structuring of investment vehicles, venture capital funds, family offices and high-value family estates, and takes an active part in the investment and private capital ecosystem. She complements her practice with university teaching.
