Andrée Viana Garcés is Of Counsel to the firm. With more than twenty years in constitutional and administrative law, her practice focuses on legal disputes over rural land: land restitution, public lands, ethnic territories and prior consultation.
She served as Deputy Inspector General for Agrarian Affairs and Land Restitution, Director of Prior Consultation at the Ministry of the Interior, and auxiliary justice at the Council of State and the Special Jurisdiction for Peace. She designs regulatory instruments —she has drafted bills of law— and combines strategic litigation and multi-stakeholder dialogue with teaching at Universidad de los Andes.
