Jaime Arrubla, founder of the Firm, is the leader of the professional team at Arrubla Devis. He is recognized in Colombia and Latin America as one of the main authorities on commercial law, author of the work Contratos Mercantiles , university professor in the most renowned law schools in the country, arbitrator in the main arbitration centers and a frequent speaker at important conferences.

His career led him to be appointed in 2004 as a judge of the Supreme Court of Justice, a position he held until 2012, becoming its president in 2010. At the Supreme Court he was the rapporteur of landmark rulings on contractual and civil liability matters, among other topics.
