Jaime Arrubla, founding partner of the Firm, is the leader of the team of professionals that comprise Arrubla Devis. His experience both in the private sector and in important public offices, have led him to be known as one of the most prominent attorneys in the country in the field of private law. He has excelled both nationally and across Latin America as a renowned authority of commercial law, as author of the work Commercial Contracts, law professor at many of the leading law faculties in the country, arbitrator of the main arbitration centers and lead speaker in important conferences.

From 2004 to 2012, he served as Justice of Colombia’s Supreme Court, where he presided as Chief Justice in 2010. In the Supreme Court of Justice, he contributed to important rulings in contractual and civil liability matters, amongst other subjects. As a practicing attorney and legal consultant for over 40 years, he has extensive experience consulting for both private companies and public entities in their business endeavors as well as in the effective fulfillment of their obligations.
